EMBARKATION DAY~Norwegian Jewel Leaving SYDNEY l CRUISE VLOG l Ep. 4 – Sydney Video

Now that we’ve been on board the Norwegian Jewel for a few hours, it’s time for us to get ready to set sail! First, we have to complete the muster drill (lifeboat drill)-which was very simple. Then, let’s make our way to the outside decks to watch us sail away from Sydney! WOW!! Talk about an incredible send off!! As always, make sure to watch in HD for the best video quality! Hope you enjoy! 🙂

  1. Hope to be cruising out of Sydney next year so can’t wait for your videos!

  2. wow 37 days on this cruise. What kind o cost are we talking to do that Scott? Keep up the great videos 17 days left for my first cruise!

  3. why are the walls magnetic??

  4. How strange, I was watching this at the gym and just before you said its 5.55 I looked at my watch and it was 5.55. I felt like you were right there next to me at the gym, Scott!

  5. You ought to be Platinum by the time you finish this adventure. Free laundry a couple free specialty dinners, ship tour etc… Good memories of my time there 6 weeks after you were there.

  6. I love how you pronounce Dunedin 😂😂 Did you ever find out how it was pronounced? If it's any consolation, most travellers dont get it right!! Loving your series so far

  7. you go on cundard ship. the queen mary or the queen Elisabeth

  8. My favorite thing was watching the ice cream melting down your hand 😆

  9. leaving port past all the great sites

  10. Scott, this is why I love your vlogs so much, your enthusiasm is infectious despite your jet lag. Your videos are informative. Even though we live in NZ, Sydney is the port we have sailed away from the most. I did not know the departure times were scheduled around the Ferry traffic. Good fact to know. The Tasman Sea is known to be extremely rough so yes seasick tablets are a must item to bring onboard. Having said that we sailed Feb this year from Auckland to Sydney on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth and the Tasman sea were the calmest I have ever seen. The Jewel has definitely been revamped since we were on it back in 2012 to Alaska. First impressions of the ship it’s look nice. I had a chuckle with your pronunciation of Dunedin. Hey us humans say how we see the word eh and I’m sure as the days went on you would have found out how it’s pronounced. For anyone else watching it’s pronounced Dun-e-din. Or sometimes Da-need-in. Keep up the great posts. Enjoy your current cruise. 🥰

  11. I love sail aways, too! Thanks for all the beautiful shots of the city and the fun times waving at people on other boats!

  12. Love your new vlogs keep them coming 👍👏🚢

  13. Very nice Scott. The Opera House is such an icon of Sydney and you were right there. The odyssey begins!

  14. Scott another great video ……I am leaving for Europe for two months till June 28 2019 and I will watch your videos when I get back for sure

  15. I'm following this trip because I'll be on the Jewel come July to Alaska. Thanks for all the info. Loved the sail away views, breath taking. ❤️

  16. Sailing out of Sydney Harbour is amazing! The land formation you passed on the way out of the harbour are called “the heads”…north head and south head. Open water once you go through them.

  17. Another great video Scott. Very informative and your enthusiasm and presentation style makes it particularly easy to spend time following you on your travels. I believe you have two back to back cruises. How long in total will you be gone and what is the itinerary of your next cruise. Every time I watch one of your videos I learn at least one or two key pieces of information to help me plan a future cruise with my wife. In January, 2020 we cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Panama Canal, then back to Fort Lauderdale on Holland America Eurodam. This will be our first cruise, so we are pretty excited. If you have any specific recommendations, please let me know. Thanks. Ed

  18. I love sailing out through the Sydney heads, (the land formation lol) can be very rough at times, welcome to cruising from Sydney, lol and I think you were trying to pronounce Dun- e – den not Doo – win – din 🤣

  19. Spent 4 days in Sydney last October and loved getting the ferries in and out of Circular Quay seeing the Bridge and Opera House….it’s so surreal seeing it in real life and not just on the tv back home in the UK 😜

  20. Thanks again Scotty for Sharing!’ Great vlogs👍🏻 of Sydney!! What a magical bridge 🌉 and sunset 🌇 looking forward to more!!🚢😎
