EMBARKATION DAY~Norwegian Jewel Leaving SYDNEY l CRUISE VLOG l Ep. 4 – Sydney Video

Now that we’ve been on board the Norwegian Jewel for a few hours, it’s time for us to get ready to set sail! First, we have to complete the muster drill (lifeboat drill)-which was very simple. Then, let’s make our way to the outside decks to watch us sail away from Sydney! WOW!! Talk about an incredible send off!! As always, make sure to watch in HD for the best video quality! Hope you enjoy! 🙂

  5. You ought to be Platinum by the time you finish this adventure. Free laundry a couple free specialty dinners, ship tour etc… Good memories of my time there 6 weeks after you were there.

  10. Scott, this is why I love your vlogs so much, your enthusiasm is infectious despite your jet lag. Your videos are informative. Even though we live in NZ, Sydney is the port we have sailed away from the most. I did not know the departure times were scheduled around the Ferry traffic. Good fact to know. The Tasman Sea is known to be extremely rough so yes seasick tablets are a must item to bring onboard. Having said that we sailed Feb this year from Auckland to Sydney on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth and the Tasman sea were the calmest I have ever seen. The Jewel has definitely been revamped since we were on it back in 2012 to Alaska. First impressions of the ship it’s look nice. I had a chuckle with your pronunciation of Dunedin. Hey us humans say how we see the word eh and I’m sure as the days went on you would have found out how it’s pronounced. For anyone else watching it’s pronounced Dun-e-din. Or sometimes Da-need-in. Keep up the great posts. Enjoy your current cruise. 🥰

  16. Sailing out of Sydney Harbour is amazing! The land formation you passed on the way out of the harbour are called “the heads”…north head and south head. Open water once you go through them.

  17. Another great video Scott. Very informative and your enthusiasm and presentation style makes it particularly easy to spend time following you on your travels. I believe you have two back to back cruises. How long in total will you be gone and what is the itinerary of your next cruise. Every time I watch one of your videos I learn at least one or two key pieces of information to help me plan a future cruise with my wife. In January, 2020 we cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Panama Canal, then back to Fort Lauderdale on Holland America Eurodam. This will be our first cruise, so we are pretty excited. If you have any specific recommendations, please let me know. Thanks. Ed
