WILD landing onboard a Qantas Boeing 747-400ER into Melbourne Airport – Sydney Video

A bumpy landing onboard Qantas Boeing 747 ‘Queen of the Skies’ landing in Melbourne on a windy Saturday. As this aircraft celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first flight, I feel that this footage really highlights how well designed this aircraft was!

  5. Even after so many years of flying I'm still apprehensive/nervous, especially when I'm about to board – not so with this aircraft – "Long Live The Queen"! πŸ‘‘
    Cheers Paul.

  7. Such stable footage Paul. Well done. I flew on A380, 350s, 777, but I'm yet to fly with the Queen one day.

  8. For you to describe it as a β€œ wild β€œ approach , it must have been pretty wild . I was interested to see the leading edge seats retract on landing but deploy again at the end of the landing roll , can’t say I’ve noticed that happen before .

  10. I remember being on the train heading home and saw the plane fly right over, thought it was odd as we don't get 747 flights but this turned out to be flying down from Sydney then doing the next days Antartic charter.
